Thousands of Texans have trusted their eyes to Dr. Manrique. We would love the opportunity to make a difference in your life if you need any of the treatment options below.

Z-Lasik

Blade-free Z-Lasik eye surgery permanently changes the shape of the cornea in order to improve your vision and give you freedom from glasses or contact lenses. This outpatient procedure is a great treatment option for nearsightedness, farsightedness and astigmatism. Z-Lasik is safe, effective and can take as little as 10-15 seconds for each eye.

Cataracts

If you suffer from vision loss that impairs your daily life, you may be a candidate for cataract surgery, which involves removing the clouded lens and replacing it with an Intraocular Lens (IOL). Cataract surgery is an outpatient procedure and is, in fact the most frequently performed surgery in the United States with more than 1.5 million cataract surgeries taking place each year.

Intacs Corneal Implants

You cannot feel Intacs corneal implants once they have been inserted and are no more visible than contact lenses. No maintenance is required. Over 97% of patients who get Intacs corneal implants achieve the goal of driver’s license vision without the need for glasses or contact lenses, and greater than 50% are pleased to discover that their vision is better than 20/20.

KAMRA™ Inlay for Presbyopia

The inlay sits in the first few layers of the eye known as the cornea. Smaller and thinner than a contact lens, the inlay is a mini-ring with an opening – or pinhole – in the center. This pinhole allows only focused light to enter your eye. The KAMRA inlay is placed in only one of your eyes, allowing you to see up close, while maintaining your distance vision in both eyes.

Cross-linking

Cross-linking is a medical procedure that combines the use of ultra-violet light and riboflavin eye drops.  The last two of years has seen a marked increase in the prominence of corneal collagen cross-linking as a treatment strategy for progressive Keratoconus.

Visial Implantable Collamer Lens (Visian ICL)

The Visian ICL is designed for the correction of moderate to high nearsightedness. Visian ICL surgery is intended to safely and effectively correct nearsightedness between -3 diopters to -15 diopters and partially correct nearsightedness to up to -20 diopters in eyes with up to 2.5 diopters of astigmatism.

Refractive Lens Exchange

Refractive Lens Exchange (RLE), also called Clear Lens Exchange (CLE), is a procedure with twofold benefits for the aging eye. During the surgery, the eye’s natural crystalline lens is replaced with an artificial lens. This artificial lens corrects any existing nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism, and also eliminates the patient’s inevitable future development of cataracts in the crystalline lens.

Advanced Surface Ablation ( ASA)

For patients with conditions such as thin corneas and loose skin of the cornea that make LASIK less than ideal, Advanced Surface Ablation (ASA) is an excellent alternative for treating nearsightedness, farsightedness and astigmatism.
